Sting - Concert information

[Updated: August 12, 2001]

22-08-2000 / Phoenix, AZ / Blockbuster Desert Sky Pavilion / USA
Support art: Jonny Lang.
Right after Jonny Lang's set a dust storm brought huge gusts of dirt into the venue. While it let up as the show went on, it was quite strong the whole time. Sting commented on it with: "This is my first dust storm. Someone told me backstage that you can get something called 'valley fever' from the dust; supposedly, it has the same symptoms as mono. If I get it, how am I going to explain this to my wife?".
Tomorrow We'll See was still off the setlist. Moon Over Bourbon Street was performed, but without Sting's normal Louis Armstrong-esque vocal stylings.
No belly dancer during Desert Rose.
