Sting - Concert information

Attendance: 90,000; sellout.
The festival was organized on June 27, 28 and 29 in Pilton, between Glastonbury and Shepton Mallet, in the countryside of the Somerset Levels, 600 acres of farmland are turned into a huge festivalarea. More than 500 acts performed on 17 stages. Heavy rain has brought chaos and congestion to roads around the Glastonbury Festival with police describing conditions under foot as being like soup.
On the last night Sting started to perform at the Pyramid Stage at 7.00pm. He was backed up by Monica Price and Shirley Lewis.
Both BBC Radio One and BBC2-TV covered the event. ABC "In Concert" broadcasted Every Breath You Take and Englishman In New York.
