Festival line-up: Luz Casal, Congreso, Inti Illimani, Los Ronaldos, Fernando Saunders, Wynton Marsalis, Ruben Blades, Jackson Browne, New Kids On The Block, Peter Gabriel, Sinead O'Connor, Sting.
Attendance: 85,000.
Sting headlined a benefit show for Amnesty International. He was announced by Sinead O'Connor.
During King Of Pain Sting introduced the band in Spanish.
Sting: "We played in the stadium where the military had murdered and also tortured a lot of people and everyone in the 85,000 crowd knew it. The women came and danced on the stage - it was a very moving experience" (Sunday; 27-01-1991).
