Sting - Concert information

[Updated: August 12, 2001]

10-01-1986 / Newcastle / City Hall / UK
Roxanne - Message In A Bottle
Attendance: 2,150; sellout.
Just before the actual show there was an explosion in the electrical room that blew a hole in the wall of about four feet in diameter. The main power supply was completely wrecked. The only power came from emergency generators, which gave out just enough power to provide some dim lighting. Sting didn't want to disappoint his fans so he came out with the band. Kenny on tambourine, Branford on clarinet and with the rest as backing singers. They performed Roxanne and Message In A Bottle.
Finally the show was cancelled and scheduled for a new date on 03-02-1986.
