Sting performed a lip synch version of If You Love Somebody Set Them Free at the Second Annual MTV Video Awards at the Radio City Music Hall. The show was hosted by Eddie Murphy.
After the show there was a party in the Mike Todd Room at The Palladium. Sting, Tina Turner, video director Kevin Godley, Edie Van Halen, Annie Lennox and Don Henley were some of the guests.
