The Police - Concert information

[Updated: August 12, 2001]

11-12-1983 / Glasgow / Apollo / UK
Attendance: 2,600; sellout.
Support act: China Crisis.
Before Synchronicity I: "Hello Glasgow. Do you know why we are here? This is the best gig in Britain. Let's go".
Before O My God: "This building is one of the first places where it actually first happened for The Police. Just in case you've forgotten who we are. Andy Summers. Stewart Copeland on the drums. Our singers Dolette, Michelle and Tessa".
During Can't Stand Losing You: "I know you are going up and down there. Be careful". "OK Glasgow. There are three levels in this building. We need a kind of different task. The top storey will sing one note. The middle people will sing another", and pointing out to the floor: "you'll sing yet another note. Can you do it? First the top storey".
Sting wore a black version of his usual coloured costume.
