The Police - Concert information

[Updated: August 12, 2001]

09-12-1983 / Edinburgh / Playhouse Theatre / UK
Attendance: 3,000; sellout.
During Can't Stand Losing You: "Alright Edinburgh, Edinburgh 2 actually. I really enjoy making comparisons. I think you're gonna be much louder than the people who where here last night. I think you are younger for a start. I think you are better looking. You are probably more intelligent, right? Do as I do. I want you to be heard in Glasgow". Sting later added: "I think you won".
Before So Lonely: "I remember the first time we played in this city. The Athenes of the North. We played the Rebecca Ballroom, then we played the University and then we played Inglestone. I think this is the best. We are playing in your frontroom, right?". Sting was clearly mixing up the names of the first two venues (the correct names were: Tiffany's and Odeon).
