The Police - Concert information

[Updated: January 8, 2013]

02-08-1983 / Montreal, Que. / Le Spectrum / CANADA
Support act: Blue Peter.
Attendance: 700; sellout.
The complete show was recorded on film by Godley and Creme. It was planned to release this show on home video, but only shots of the public of this show were used for the official video (Synchronicity Concert) recorded in Atlanta.
Stewart about the filming: "We actually did the show twice. We recorded it once in Montreal. We decided we want to play a really small place and have it really intimate. Spend all this money, shot the shoot and performed a terrible show. So we had to do it again, only this time we played the Gigantorium or whatever in Atlanta. We played two nights and picked the best bits of both nights" (Rockline interview; 27-11-2002).
Parts of the Montreal show were shown on TV in Canada (at "First Choice Rocks" on 31-12-1983), France and Japan.
Backing vocals by Tessa Niles, Ray Schell and Snady Owens.
