The Police - Concert information

[Updated: August 26, 2001]

19-11-1979 / San Pedro, CA / Terminal Island State Prison / USA
The Police played a full set to the 500 male inmates of the Terminal Island State prison. After the show they donated $5000 worth of instruments and equipment for the use of potential jailhouse rockers.
Andy: "We felt it was a nice thing we could do because we feel we've been getting so much out of it for ourselves personally, and it's a way we can put something back in. This prison has mostly young people in it, so it's a good place for a rock band to go" (Sounds; 15-12-1979).
