The Police - Concert information

[Updated: August 12, 2001]

28-03-1977 / Paris / Palais des Glaces / FRANCE
Festival line-up: The Jam, The Police, Wayne County & The Electric Chairs, Generation X.
Stewart: "When we arrived Generation X and the Jam were bitching about who should go on before us. We had to go on immediately before Wayne County because we were using their equipment. But their equipment hadn't turned up so I stepped in quick and did a deal with Generation X that they could go on last and close the show if we could use their equipment. And Generation X bought it. So the Jam came on and did really well. We came on and did so-so. Wayne County and The Electric Chairs were fantastic and while Generation X were setting themselves up and arguing and generally being total idiots the kids all went home!" (L'Historia Bandido - p.42).
